The 171 Cedar Arts Center, 171 Cedar St., Corning, has issued a call to regional artists of all ages to participate in the 2012 exhibit celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The exhibit is a component of 171's multi-arts celebration of Making Real the Dream, and artists of all disciplines are invited to submit works for display. Original music, dance or spoken word performances are also welcome if they keep to the theme, "The Dream." The exhibit will be on display from Jan. 13 through Feb. 3, in 171 Cedar Arts Center's Houghton Gallery. Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, at the 171 Cedar Arts Center in the Drake House Studio Theater. For more information, go to www.171cedararts.org.
