Free Ballroom Dance Class- Open to Community

MOSCOW- Festival Dance is offering a free ballroom dance class April 3rd at the 1912 Building from 6:30-9:00pm. Instructor Sarah Bloomsburg and dance partner Scott Doughty will teach Bronze Foxtrot from 6:30-7:30, then Silver I Cha Cha from 7:30-8:30, then open dancing will be from 8:30-9:00. Regular ballroom dance classes will be held in the same location every Tuesday in April from 6:30-9:00pm for $10 per person, and with student ID it is $5.

Sarah Bloomsburg first started dancing seven years ago at the Arthur Murray Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico under the instruction of Robert and Cynthia Long. She performed in four Arthur Murray Showcases dancing in 18 different solos and winning first place in the 2005 open freestyle Salsa. She started teaching for the University of Idaho Wellness Program in January of 2006 and the University of Idaho Dance Department in August of 2007 and Festival Dance Academy in March 2010. She has competed at the 2008 National Amateur DanceSport Competition in Provo, Utah. Her partner, Scott Doughty, has a degree in Theatre from the University of Idaho.
