Free Ballroom Dance Class- Open to Community

MOSCOW- Festival Dance is offering a free ballroom dance class April 3rd at the 1912 Building from 6:30-9:00pm. Instructor Sarah Bloomsburg and dance partner Scott Doughty will teach Bronze Foxtrot from 6:30-7:30, then Silver I Cha Cha from 7:30-8:30, then open dancing will be from 8:30-9:00. Regular ballroom dance classes will be held in the same location every Tuesday in April from 6:30-9:00pm for $10 per person, and with student ID it is $5.

Moscow Artwalk 2010 will be taking place on Friday June, 18 2010. You can pick up applications at the Art office in City Hall in Moscow, Moscow Chamber of Commerce or download application form from at http://www.ci.moscow.id.us/Art/artwalk. Registration Deadline is 5:00 pm Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Cirque D’Or – Golden Dragon Acrobats March 28th

MOSCOW- The Golden Dragon Acrobats will present Cirque D’Or at the Beasley Coliseum at 3:00 on March 28th. The Golden Dragon Acrobats represent a time honored tradition that began more than twenty-five centuries ago. The Golden Dragons are recognized throughout the United States and abroad as the premiere Chinese acrobatic touring company of today.

The reputation of the company is solidly rooted in a commitment to the highest of production values and an attention to artistic details that is unparalleled in the art form. World renowned impresario Danny Chang and choreographer Angela Chang combine award-winning acrobatics, traditional dance, costumes, ancient and contemporary music and theatrical techniques to present an entertaining acrobatic show.

Back to Basics: Drawing Techniques a class for ages 16+

Have you always wanted to learn how to draw but were afraid to get started? Did you take a few drawing lessons years ago and want to get back into it? Well, “Back to Basics: Drawing Techniques” is for you! True beginners and intermediate students will learn from visiting artist Carrie Vielle several key drawing techniques designed to build confidence while improving accuracy of forms and depth in your drawings. You’ll learn essential concentration methods to allow you to “see the way an artist sees,” as well as some wonderful tricks to capture values and textures. Carrie’s friendly, encouraging teaching style has proven effective for hundreds of students! This class is for students aged 16 and above and has a maximum enrollment of 10 so individual instruction is assured. The class is being held at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown on Saturday April 10 from 10 am to 4 pm. The cost is $55 with some materials being provided.
